Black Dog Friday! 🖤

Beyond the chaos of discounts and sales in stores, one thought looms in our minds every Black Friday: why do we feel so strongly about the phenomenon of unadoptable black dogs?

It is written in studies, already scientifically proven, that animals of this colour have the lowest chances of being adopted. The reason? It's not yet clearly established, but the hypothesis is that over time, superstitions have migrated to cats and puppies, placing them in an unfavourable light.

Unfortunately we confirm the phenomenon in our shelter too! Taking a first glance among the pens, the most numerous and loneliest of the puppies are the black ones, the last ones that people look at!

From a more Romanian perspective, we also feel duty bound to debunk the myth of the black cat cutting the path. For it never brings bad luck, only good luck if we know where to look!
So, in these promotional times, let's cut not only prices, but also misconceptions, by giving the blackest but most loving of puppies a chance!
